SINAM completed “Conversion of the archive of KyrgyzHydromet into the electronic carriers for long-term preservation and development of hydrometereological data fund in the electronic carriers” project financed by the World Bank and realized by the Hydrometereology Agency at the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyz Republic.

Corresponding works have been carried out within “Modernization of hydrometereological services in Central Asia” project of the World Bank.

Necessary infrastructure has been created for preservation of documents, corresponding hardware and software have been provided for transformation of the archive into the electronic carriers and development of hydrometereological data fund in the electronic carriers, local computer network was created and automated workplaces have been prepared for users within the project started in March of 2014.

Electronic copies of more than 880 000 pages have been created and corresponding software has been developed and implemented. This software allows to enter electronic copies into the electronic archive base, save them there, search documents using their properties etc. So, electronic archive of hydrometereological data has been developed.

Besides it, trainings have been held by SINAM on use of archive software and several other specialized programs in accordance with the terms of the contract.
